Description: This report reviews the progress of the governments of Canada and Ontario on the commitments which they made through the July 1994 Canada-Ontario Agreement Respecting the Great Lakes Basin Ecosystem. The Canada-Ontario Agreement is the primary vehicle for the fulfilment of Canada's obligations under the Canada-United States Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement. The 1994 Canada-Ontario Agreement was signed by the federal Ministers of the Environment, Fisheries and Oceans, Health, and Agriculture and Agri-Food, and by the Ontario Ministers of Environment and Energy, Natural Resources, Health, and Agriculture, Food and Rural Development.
