Description: The 2002 Green Power Trade Show was held in conjunction with the Independent Power Producer's Society of Ontario (IPPSO). It built upon the connections between civil society and Green Power producers and further developed the market and policy framework necessary to create a sustainable energy future.
The show was an excellent opportunity to network with all segments of the low-environmental impact renewable energy field. The event put Green Power producers, suppliers of equipment and financial services together with potential Green Power consumers, including the growing number of energy co-operatives from across the province. Examples of current initiatives such as the Toronto Renewable Energy Co-op (TREC) were featured.
