Green Screens - Manufactured Landscapes
Green Screens partners films from the National Film Board with experts and panellists from the Canadian Institute for Environmental Law and Policy. If you are interested in the environment, Green Screens will both entertain and educate.
Our eigth screening will feature Manufactured Landscapes (2006). Edward Burtynsky is internationally acclaimed for his large-scale photographs of nature transformed by industry. Manufactured Landscapes is a stunning documentary, by award winning director Jennifer Baichwal, that follows Burtynsky to China as he captures the effects of the country's massive industrial revolution.
